The plant supplies 5600 MWh process heat and 40200 MWh heat form room heating and wood trying to Wiesner Hager Möbel GmbH (the furniture manufacturer) and Wiesner Hager Baugruppe Holding GmbH (the wood construction company).

Hours of full load that the heat storage can meet: not applicable

Fuel storage: The fuel storage has a capacity of 2,800 m3. Waste wood from wood processing is dumped outside (no limit).

Waste water: Approx. 4,500 – 4,800 m3 of waste water per year.

Ash discharge: Ash is directly landfilled.

Plant description:

The biomass-CHP plant Wiesner Hager has been the first biomass CHP plant in this size in the region of upper Austria. The plant is composed of two boilers (14.7 MW + 7.4 MW) and two turbines (800 kW + 1.6 MW). The 7,4 MW boiler is a combined grate-dust fired boiler with a maximum capacity of 10 tonnes of steam/h. The 14.7 MW boiler (16 tonnes of steam/h if fuelled with biomass, 20 tonnes of steam/h if co-fired with oil) is a fluidised bed combustion boiler.

Fuel feeding system: The fuel feeding occurs mechanically (log wood) and pneumatically (saw dust)

Steam data: Steam pressure: 40 bar, 420 °C, Steam production 10 t/h resp. 20 t/h (if just biomass 16t/h)

Flue gas cleaning: The plant is equiped with a multi-Cyclon and a baghouse filter.

Electricity sale info: This plant applied for consideration as green electricity plant.
