Energy usage:

Energy consumers in Nässjö is industries, multi dwelling houses and one dwelling houses. It is about 1000 costumers. The production of power from the plant is about 25 % of the consumption in the village of Nässjö.

District heat coverage (% of total demand in DH network): 80 %

DH inlet temperature: 70-110 °C

DH return temperature: 40-50°C

Heat storage size: 3000 m3

Hours of full load that the heat storage can meet: 4 hours

Fuel storage: 4 500 m3 of biomass. The fuel storage is enough for 4 days of operation at full load.

Waste water: 26 000 m3 from the flue gas condensation. Ph 7-10.

Ash discharge: Recycling to the forest

Plant description:

The first powerplant in a small scale in Sweden. The plant produce both heat and electricity, 26 MW heat for the heating grid in city of Nässjö and 9 MW electricity. The boiler is manufactured for coal, wood chips and peat.

13 employees at the plant. 2 employees are needed to operate the plant during day, (8 hours per shift). At night is nobody at the plant.  An alarm system is installed. If anything occur employees will be at the plant within 30 minutes
