Plant description:

Perlen Papier is a paper factory that generates about half of its process steam and power demand in-house using a biomass-fired CFB combustor (“RüVA). Steam (produced in the boiler at 60 bar) is expanded in a back-pressure turbine. The generated power covers approx. 50% of  the RüVA plant’s power need. The expanded steam (13 bar) is led into the factory’s steam grid. The steam covers approx. 50% of the paper factory’s steam need.
